Head to Finca La Maní, just 1 hour from Medellín, to begin your unique coffee tour. After hotel pickup, you'll instantly taste a Colombian coffee profile to start your day, then head to a coffee-producing farm and enjoy hearing a brief story about the origin of coffee and how it was first brought to Colombia .
Take the opportunity to dress in the typical Paisa muleteer costume, which includes a hat and poncho. Subsequently, it goes to a coffee plantation to harvest the coffee, collecting cherry coffee, and then moving on to the benefit process where the parchment coffee is washed, processed and dried. After these activities, sit down and have a refreshing mucilage drink (coffee juice) and a tea made from the coffee pulp.
Listen to your guide explain some techniques on how to make and drink coffee and take a brief tasting of different coffees and servings. Then try a typical Paisa arriero dish composed of rice, yucca, ground meat, boiled egg, chorizo and plantain.
